Regional Hospital Accompaniment Response Team (R-HART)

Our Regional Hospital Accompaniment Response Team (R-HART) is available 24/7 at seven area hospitals. Hospital Advocates meet survivors at the emergency room to provide emotional support and resources for ongoing support.

Safety Planning

We help survivors develop a personalized plan to escape violence and get to safety.

Emergency Shelter

We provide a safe place for survivors to find support and plan for the future in our temporary emergency shelters. We provide basic assistance of food, clothing, baby supplies, and emergency transportation as needed.

Human Trafficking Services

We provide shelter, counseling, safety planning and case management for survivors of human trafficking.

Counseling

We provide licensed counselors to help survivors process the trauma they have experienced, cope through the feelings surrounding the trauma, and establish goals for moving forward.

Case Management

We provide comprehensive case management to help survivors to transform their lives after experiencing domestic or sexual violence.

Court Advocacy

We provide support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence so they do not have to navigate the court system alone. Court advocates help obtain protective orders and provide resources for pro bono legal aid when needed.

Supportive Services

In addition to the emergency services listed above, survivors in the Greater Richmond region have access to a network of supportive services to help rebuild their lives.
